Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox studied flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years during the 1970s. She was able to survive on a student stipend and did part-time jobs to supplement her budget. In the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied with her skill compared to her student classmates and contemplated a possible alternative path she might follow. Lennox joined a group called Dragons Playground as the flute player in the year 1976. But she quit before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent competition. Between 1977 and 1980 she sang in The Tourists. A British pop group. The band was where she met Dave Stewart and together they created The duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to record her solo debut album Diva. This was released in the year 1992. The album garnered a lot of praise, both by critics as well as the general public. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. Lennox has selected her top blues, soul and jazz tracks. Lepidoptera contains four improvised keyboard tracks. The E.P. She released her first solo album in conjunction with her work at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled "Now I'll Let You Go."
